Thank you for this thoughtful reflection and helpful suggestions, beautifully written. Wishing you continued learning and success on your journey, may it be a smooth ride. I would add that being a parent is by nature both awesome and anxious.

I really appreciate this, and yeah, the highs are high and the lows are low with a little one. Gotta keep climbing.

That was very insightful and thank you for being vulnerable on here. Portraying the antithesis of the normal social media.

Understanding what causes your stress is the first step to combat it. Still trying to work out mine, which is lack of time to pursue much of anything.

All the best for your journey, and thank you again for sharing this.

I appreciate this a lot. Journal it, or if crazy like me make a spreadsheet!

thanks for sharing.

tracking anxiety is solid and can be very useful. i used the calm app to track my mood every day for a year, and noticed that thursdays were a recurring "bad" day. did some digging and figured out i had three hour-long recurring meetings booked on thursdays, which just killed my day and created unnecessary stress for the end of the week. moved two of them to tues/wed, and found an improvement. success!

but then it became a bit compulsive lol and no longer useful - i got anxious about finding new improved quick fixes or low hanging fruit. but i also resonate with the idea of bad afternoons vs days - that was a good indicator that some of the other systemic changes (being outside) were making a difference.

hard to find balance, but glad to read it feels like you're on the right track.

Thats pretty interesting and I appreciate the note. It is surprising that something as big as a *three hour* meeting can slip our mind once its robotic habit.

Finding fixes is definitely in the category of "one simple trick", but it seems like you too are on a good path, which is good :-).
